Don't shoot the messenger

Being completely honest there are days I feel like I am living a double life. Especially noted on my two blogs. On one, I write about the humorous day-to-day musings as a mother of two small children. That life seems particularly surreal when I come to, Oil and Tar, to the realities of our world. I'm constantly torn between these two worlds. Feeling a fake as I write at MOTM and feeling like the Messenger of Doom here.

I often wonder, which world will win?

California controller to suspend tax refunds, welfare checks

John Chiang announces that his office will suspend $3.7 billion in payments owed to Californians starting Feb. 1, as a result of the state's cash crisis. Student grants are also affected.
